Nursery
Welcome to Tarves Nursery
Our Nursery is set in the rural village of Tarves attached to the Primary school. Although a small setting, our aims are big and we strive to help each child to reach their potential and thrive as they learn. The Nursery provides early years child care for children in their pre-school and ante pre-school years.
Following local and national guidelines, we provide sessions full of fun, play and challenge. Our Child protection guidelines are based on National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland 2014, which provides a framework to support, promote and safeguard the wellbeing of all children. Child Protection is part of our approach to Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Curriculum for Excellence. Every child and young person has the right to be safe, healthy, active, nurtured, achieving, responsible, respected and included and we incorporate these wellbeing indicators in our daily practice.
Our qualified staff facilitate positive learning dispositions and an enabling environment that promotes curiosity, enquiry and creativity. Taking a holistic approach to learning we access the curriculum through everyday hands-on experiences and activities meeting the individual needs of the children in our care.
