Minority ethnic communities

Scotland has a diverse, ever-changing population and recognises that dementia can impact anyone including ethnic minority groups.

We are mindful of the ethnic minority communities living in Aberdeenshire and for this group of people there are currently not many resources available to those impacted by dementia.

The Scottish Ethnic Minority Older People Forum is an inclusive forum where people from different backgrounds, cultures and beliefs can get involved, empowering ethnic minority older people across Scotland. It is hosted and supported by Age Scotland.

Polski Klub Seniora Aberdeen is an Aberdeen Polish Seniors Group associated with the Polish Aberdeen Association.

Your Dementia Advisor can provide further information on support available in your local area.
